Glover passed away unexpectedly, according to KCAL, the CBS station in Los Angeles that he joined in October 2023. Prior to that, he spent eight years anchoring at Houston’s KRTK. A cause of death was not immediately released.

Chauncy Glover was a journalist and news anchor who gained prominence for his impactful reporting and community involvement. He began his career at ABC13 in Houston in 2015, where he quickly became a well-regarded anchor and reporter. During his time in Houston, he started the Chauncy Glover Project, a non-profit organization that mentors young Black and Latino men through education and leadership training. Glover’s efforts culminated annually in events like black-tie galas, showcasing the students’ growth and achievements.

Recently, Glover left ABC13 to join CBS in Los Angeles as a co-anchor for KCAL-TV’s evening newscasts alongside Pat Harvey. He expressed excitement about the new role, citing his admiration for the KCAL team and commitment to impactful journalism. Glover’s career journey includes roles in Detroit, Jacksonville, and Columbus, Georgia, and he holds degrees in broadcast journalism, music, and theater from Troy University.

His work both on and off camera has made him a respected figure in the communities he serves.
