Harold Dow

Harold Dow was an American television journalist best known for his work on the CBS News program “48 Hours.” He joined CBS News in 1972 and became a correspondent for “48 Hours” when it premiered in 1988. Dow joined CBS News in 1972, first as a broadcast associate, then as a correspondent with their Los Angeles Bureau while with KCOP-TV. Dow covered a wide range of stories during his career, including breaking news, features, and investigative reports.

Dow was known for his calm and authoritative delivery, as well as his ability to tackle complex and sensitive subjects. He received several awards for his journalism, including multiple Emmy Awards. Dow’s career at CBS spanned over four decades until his passing in 2010.
